My only niggle is the flimsiness and over sensitivity of the control levers on the tiller. There are numerous reasons one might want to reach forward whilst stationary [say in a department store]. It is necessary to switch off with the key before doing so, otherwise one might inadvertently catch a either of the levers sending the machine in motion. This can pose a risk to other shoppers as supermarkets can get a bit crowded. Although I usually switch off with the key before reaching for anything, it’s very easy to forget and suddenly drive into a nearby shopper. This hasn’t happened yet but it’s an obvious hazard. A safer option would be thumb-operated buttons on either side of the handlebar. Otherwise, I can find no fault. The Ultra is easy to maneuver, and turns on a small radius. It holds a charge for a long time and can manage fairly steep inclines. The range is superb, giving me the freedom to expand my horizons considerably. I don’t drive so this has given me considerable independence.
